Oak Grove Chip Seal Project

Background

Clackamas County, through its Board of County Commissioners, is issuing an Invitation to Bid for the Oak Grove Chip Seal Project. The project aims to enhance road conditions in Oak Grove, Oregon, and is part of the County's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve local infrastructure. Work Details

The contract involves various construction tasks related to the chip seal process, including: 1. Removal of pavement markings. 2. Application of emulsified asphalt chip seal over approximately 126,926 square yards. 3. Use of 260 tons of asphalt in the emulsified asphalt chip seal process. 4. Temporary features such as pollution control plans and mobilization efforts are also included in the scope of work.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must reach substantial completion by September 3, 2026. Final completion is required by December 31, 2026.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be prequalified in Asphalt Concrete Paving & Oiling (ACP) and Temporary Traffic Control (TTC). Additionally, bidders are required to submit a bid bond equal to 10% of their total bid amount. Compliance with state prevailing wage laws is mandatory due to the project's estimated cost exceeding $50,000.
