CMBP GAC Filter Cap Installation

Background

The City of Cincinnati, through its Office of Procurement, is issuing this Invitation to Bid for the installation of GAC Filter Caps at the Charles M Bolton Water Plant (CMBP). The project aims to enhance water treatment capabilities by replacing a portion of the existing filter media in one of the eight filters with specified GAC Filter Cap media. This initiative aligns with the City’s commitment to maintaining high standards in public water supply and infrastructure.

Work Details

The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to remove a portion of the existing filter media in one of the eight filters and replace it with specified GAC Filter Cap media. Bidders must complete an Excel pricing sheet provided in Volume 3, ensuring all items are filled out to be considered responsive. The project requires adherence to detailed specifications outlined in Volume 4.

Period of Performance

The contractor shall start work within five (5) calendar days from receipt of written notice to begin work and must complete on-site work within eighty-five (85) calendar days from receipt of that notice.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Charles M Bolton Water Plant located at 6800 River Road, Fairfield, OH 45014.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered under Vendor Self Service (VSS) at the time of award. They are required to submit a Bid Bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount as a guarantee. Additionally, bidders must comply with M/WBE subcontracting percentages established by the DEI Goal Determination included in the bid documents.
