Background

The City of Kenner, Louisiana, is seeking bids for the project titled 'Furnish and Install Solar Lights and Poles' under Sealed Bid No. 26-6969. The objective of this contract is to enhance public spaces through the installation of solar lighting, which aligns with the city's commitment to sustainability and improving community infrastructure.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and installing solar lights and poles as specified in the technical documents. The project includes: 1. 780W Solar LED off-grid System - 4ft Double straight cap arm with 24in vintage decorative base, 32ft (5in OD) Round straight direct burial pole, & 2x60W Type 4 4000K Gobo F LED Light Fixture (Quantity: 6). 2. 260W Solar LED off-grid System – Hook Cap Arm with 24in vintage decorative base, 15ft (5in OD) Round straight direct burial pole, & 40W Type 2 4000K Brazo LED Light Fixture (Quantity: 24). 3. 400W Solar LED off-grid System - 4ft single straight cap arm with 24in vintage decorative base, 29ft (5in OD) Round straight direct burial pole, & 60W Type 4 4000K Gobo F LED Light Fixture (Quantity: 12). All materials must be new and meet specified quality standards.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon the execution of the agreement and will continue until all work is completed to the satisfaction of the City of Kenner. The total agreement amount shall not exceed $230,000.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in various locations throughout the City of Kenner, Louisiana.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must hold a valid Louisiana contractor’s license prior to submitting a bid. A bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount is required for bids exceeding $250,000. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents.
