The work requested under this contract involves the construction and maintenance of approximately 15.639 miles of roadway, excluding bridges, on designated county roads in Union County, Mississippi. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Mobilization Removal of thermoplastic traffic stripes Unclassified excavation Placement of granular materials (Class 4, Group C) Placement of crushed stone (Size 610) Application of asphalt (ST, 19 mm and 12.5 mm for leveling) Placement of blotter material Application of emulsified asphalt for micro-surfacing Placement of aggregate for micro-surfacing (Type II) Maintenance of traffic Installation of thermoplastic edge stripes (4"-wide, continuous white, 60 MIL) This solicitation is issued by the Office of State Aid Road Construction (OSARC) in conjunction with the Union County Board of Supervisors. The project is identified as State Aid Program (SAP) Project No. SAP-73(9)S and covers maintenance activities on Roads "A" - "F": CR 1, CR 73, CR 82, CR 121, CR 194, and CR 197 in Union County, Mississippi.
