Background The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Providence, RI, has identified a need for Parking Services to address parking challenges faced by Veteran patients and their visitors. The goal is to enhance patient satisfaction by providing convenient parking solutions due to the distance of available parking from the hospital's main entrance. This contract aims to ensure that elderly and frail patients receive assistance in accessing healthcare facilities, thereby improving overall guest satisfaction. Work Details The Contractor is responsible for comprehensive parking services, which include ticketing, securing keys, parking vehicles, delivering vehicles, and directing certain vehicles to and from the greeting area. Specific tasks include: - Assessing the current VA parking situation and utilizing provided Government space and equipment. - Operating from the hospital main entrance driveway, offering parking services to veteran patients with identification and their visitors. - Managing two designated parking lots (Lot P2 and Lot P3) with an estimated capacity of 200 spaces, ensuring all areas are ground level with no tiered parking. - Providing exclusive use of approximately 100 spaces for veteran patients and visitors. - Conducting operations five days a week from 07:00 to 17:00 EST. - Ensuring all parked vehicles are locked and secured, with driver’s keys appropriately managed at the booth. - Directing self-parking vehicles as necessary and monitoring designated parking areas for compliance and safety. - Notifying VA Police in case of emergencies or if assistance is required by individuals on-site. Period of Performance The period of performance for the base year is from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. The contract includes four additional option years.
