Labor Support for Statewide Sign Operation Section - Anne Arundel County

Background

The State Highway Administration (SHA) of Maryland is issuing this contract to provide highway maintenance labor support for the SHA Hanover Complex. The goal of the contract is to ensure effective maintenance operations, with the possibility of extending services to other maintenance shops across all SHA Districts if necessary, as agreed upon by both the Administration and the Contractor.

Work Details

The contractor will provide labor support for highway maintenance activities at the SHA Hanover Complex. This may include tasks such as road repairs, signage installation and maintenance, and other related highway upkeep duties. The work may also extend to other SHA Districts based on mutual agreement due to extenuating circumstances.

Period of Performance

The contract period will be determined based on project requirements, with a bid opening scheduled for June 11, 2026.

Place of Performance

The primary location for performance will be the SHA Hanover Complex in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Additional locations may include other maintenance shops within SHA Districts as needed.

Bidder Requirements

This contract is designated as a Small Business Reserve Procurement, meaning that only certified small business vendors are eligible to bid. Bidders must meet the statutory requirements set forth in State Finance and Procurement Article, §§ 14-501 - 13-505, Annotated Code of Maryland. Additionally, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000; however, bids over this amount must include a Bid Security equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount.
