OSHA/ANSI Testing and Inspection Service for Aerial Lifts and Cranes

Background

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is seeking a vendor to provide OSHA/ANSI inspection services for aerial lifts and cranes. The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with safety standards for lifting and hoisting equipment, thereby enhancing workplace safety.

Work Details

The vendor will be responsible for providing OSHA/ANSI inspection services specifically for aerial lifts and cranes. This includes conducting thorough inspections to ensure that all equipment meets the required safety standards as outlined by OSHA and ANSI regulations. The vendor must submit a Business Enterprise Program (BEP) Utilization Plan as part of their bid, indicating their commitment to including businesses owned by minorities, women, and persons with disabilities in the contract execution.

Period of Performance

The contract period will be defined in the bid submission, but it is expected that the work will commence upon award and continue for a specified duration as outlined in the final agreement.

Place of Performance

The inspections will take place at various locations determined by IDOT within the state of Illinois.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific requirements including submitting a Vendor Disclosure or IPG Active Registered Vendor Disclosure, an Offer to the State of Illinois, a Contract, and a BEP Utilization Plan. There is a BEP goal of 3% participation. Bidders must also be registered with the Illinois Small Business Set-Aside Program if applicable.
