Background

The City of North Las Vegas is seeking to award a contract for short-term rentals of heavy-duty equipment to support various city-wide projects, including flood and development control efforts. This initiative aims to ensure that the City has access to necessary equipment for annual projects and emergencies.

Work Details

The contract involves the rental of 57 types of heavy equipment on an as-needed basis. The City will award the bid in lots, intending to select multiple respondents for each line item based on the lowest responsive bids. Key requirements include: 1. Over Meter Charges: Respondents must specify hourly costs if usage exceeds 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, or 160 hours per month. 2. Over Mileage Charges: Respondents should outline standard mileage limits and associated overage costs. 3. Odometer Charges: Indicate fees for exceeding mileage limits. 4. Other Equipment Charges: Define any additional charges applicable during rentals. 5. Pick-up and Delivery Locations: Provide addresses for equipment pick-up and drop-off. 6. Refueling Service Charge: Specify charges for refueling if vehicles are returned with less fuel than provided. 7. Delivery and Pick-up Charges: Detail any separate fees for delivery and pick-up services.

Period of Performance

The contract will have a term of three years from the effective date.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of North Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of all necessary licenses, including a City of North Las Vegas Business License upon award. Additionally, bidders must certify that they are not engaged in a boycott of Israel as required by NRS 332.065(4). The City reserves the right to reject bids from any firm that is debarred or suspended from federal or state contracts.
