Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), specifically the Northwest Oregon District, is seeking contractors to assist with prescribed fire support through the BURN MODULES FY27 TENDERS-FIRE project. The goal of this contract is to perform prescribed burns to reduce wildfire hazards and improve forest health by managing fuel loads and altering vegetation structure. This initiative aligns with the BLM's mission to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. Work Details The contractor will provide all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, lodging, and services required for wildfire hazard reduction through prescribed burning and mop-up operations. Key tasks include: 1. Conducting complete planning and implementation of prescribed burn operations including determining when burn units meet prescription parameters through field checks. 2. Providing qualified crew members including Burn Bosses, Firing Bosses, and Holding Specialists as needed based on burn complexity. 3. Performing fire line construction/maintenance, vegetation modification (brushing/lopping/scattering/pruning), ignition operations, mop-up, and patrol activities. 4. Following established escape burn guidelines and procedures in case of slopovers during ignition or mop-up operations. 5. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations throughout all operations. Period of Performance The contract period is from June 4, 2026 to December 31, 2028. Place of Performance Services will be performed in various locations within the Northwest Oregon District including Cascades FO, Marys Peak FO, Siuslaw FO, Tillamook FO, Upper Willamette FO.
