Food Service for Tennessee Fire Service and Codes Enforcement Academy

Background

The State of Tennessee, through its Department of Commerce and Insurance, is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to procure food services for individuals attending training classes at the Tennessee Fire Service and Codes Enforcement Academy (TFACA). The goal is to secure a contractor who can provide these services at competitive prices while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The estimated maximum liability for the contract is between $1,800,000 and $2,500,000 over a sixty-month term.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive food services which include meal preparation and service for training attendees at TFACA. Specific requirements are detailed in the Pro Forma Contract (Attachment 6.6), which outlines the scope of services, payment terms, and other contractual obligations. The contractor must ensure that all meals meet dietary restrictions and preferences as specified by the State.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for a period of sixty months from the date of award.

Place of Performance

Food services will be performed at the Tennessee Fire Service and Codes Enforcement Academy located in Bell Buckle, Tennessee.

Bidder Requirements

Respondents must comply with all provisions outlined in the RFP including but not limited to: holding necessary business or professional licenses; being registered with the Tennessee Department of Revenue; providing a Certificate of Insurance; and adhering to nondiscrimination laws. Additionally, respondents must submit a Statement of Certifications & Assurances as part of their Technical Response.
