Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this contract for dispatch services at Mammoth Cave National Park. The goal of the contract is to establish a 24-hour dispatching service that supports law enforcement, emergency services, and general park operations. This service is essential for ensuring effective communication and response capabilities within the park. Work Details The contractor will provide comprehensive dispatch services including: - 24/7 monitoring of assigned radio frequencies and 9-1-1 center telephones. - Tracking in-service law enforcement rangers and conducting proactive officer safety status checks. - Providing DMV and NCIC data support, including accessing criminal and driver history transcripts, confirming warrants, and sending administrative messages. - Communicating recent Kentucky BOLOs concerning officer safety threats to on-duty Kentucky ranger staff via radio. - Dispatching outside resources from cooperating law enforcement emergency service agencies as needed within Mammoth Cave National Park. - Following agreed-upon communications protocols established through periodic meetings with NPS. - Providing updated weather/marine information such as tornado watches and warnings via park radio. - Serving as a point of contact for after-hours callouts for law enforcement, emergency medical service, security, and fire incidents at Mammoth Cave National Park. - Providing annual statistical information regarding the number and types of calls generated by the CAD system. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a base period from July 28, 2026, to July 27, 2027, with options for four additional years extending through July 27, 2031. Place of Performance The services will be performed at Mammoth Cave National Park located at 61 Maintenance Rd, Mammoth Cave, KY 42259.
