Background

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Office for Food and Nutrition Programs is seeking a contractor to enhance participation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) by increasing the number of afterschool programs that provide At-Risk Afterschool meals and snacks. The goal is to design, implement, and coordinate an innovative outreach program aimed at achieving this objective.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for developing an outreach initiative that includes: 1. Designing a comprehensive outreach strategy to engage afterschool programs. 2. Implementing the outreach plan effectively to ensure maximum participation in CACFP. 3. Coordinating with various stakeholders including schools, districts, and community organizations to promote the program. Specific details can be found in the Scope of Services-Attachment A.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon approval and will run until June 30, 2027, with an option for one renewal period of up to 12 months extending to June 30, 2028.
