Port Wide Paving

Background

The Port of Longview is issuing a solicitation for the 2026 Port Wide Paving project, aimed at enhancing the infrastructure of the port. The project involves significant asphalt work to improve road surfaces, which is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and safety. The completion of this project is essential for supporting the port's mission to facilitate trade and transportation in the region.

Work Details

The scope of work includes providing hauling, spreading, jointing, and compacting hot mix asphalt (HMA) and asphaltic concrete pavement according to specified lines and levels. Additional tasks involve providing, hauling, distributing, and placing tack materials necessary for asphalt concrete pavement installation. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, and apparatus required to perform the work as specified in the contract documents. Specific quantities include: - 470 tons for Berth 6 Trench - 180 tons for SD PS & Dock Office - 190 tons for various patching locations - 1,300 tons for depressed rail and rail crossing - 60 tons for unidentified port areas.

Period of Performance

All work must be completed by October 15, 2026. A successful final inspection and acceptance from the Port is required before completion is confirmed.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Port of Longview located at 10 International Way, Longview, Washington.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a current certificate of registration with the State of Washington and comply with all applicable laws including industrial insurance coverage. A bid security of 5% of the total bid amount is required. Bidders are encouraged to utilize M/WBE subcontractors. Additionally, all contractor agents working within secured areas must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
