Background The 241st Engineering Installation Squadron (EIS) requires a safe, functional, and secure Air National Guard facility and compound to support its operational missions. This geographically separated unit necessitates enhanced security measures to protect personnel, facilities, and equipment. The existing facility is located in a public commercial and industrial area of North Chattanooga, TN, and has been identified as needing significant upgrades to its security infrastructure due to past incidents highlighting vulnerabilities. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary to perform upgrades, repairs, and new construction aimed at enhancing base infrastructure. Specific tasks include: 1. Installation of controlled access systems for building entry. 2. Upgrading perimeter fencing and vehicle entry gates to improve security control. 3. Implementing electronic locking systems for sliding gates to ensure reliable security during operations. 4. Reinforcing chain link barrier fencing to prevent unauthorized access by vehicles. 5. Overall improvements to the security measures surrounding the facility to ensure protection against potential threats. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period of 365 days following the notice to proceed.
