Background The Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL) is seeking proposals for the demolition, re-installation, and relocation of ducts and piping to facilitate the future installation of the MAGIS-100 experiment in the MINOS Service Building. This project is located on the Fermilab site, adjacent to Batavia, Illinois, in Kane County. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all necessary infrastructure modifications are completed efficiently and safely to support ongoing scientific research. Work Details The subcontractor will be responsible for providing all required supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the work as outlined in the drawings and technical specifications. This includes tasks related to plumbing piping systems, hydronic piping systems, compressed air piping systems, and air duct systems. The contractor must also ensure compliance with safety oversight and quality control measures throughout the construction process. Specific requirements include: 1) At least ten years of experience in construction related to plumbing and mechanical piping installations; 2) Compliance with NFPA 70E for electrical installations; 3) Experience working at elevations greater than 30 feet; 4) Detailed descriptions of past projects demonstrating relevant experience; 5) Submission of resumes for key personnel including Project Manager, Project Superintendent, and Safety Coordinator. The project is located on the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) Site, adjacent to the city of Batavia, Illinois. The project is in Kane County. Refer to the site map for the exact location of the Minos Building. The Subcontractor shall furnish all required supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform diligently and fully all work as described in the drawings and technical specifications. All work includes transportation, overhead, bonding costs, safety oversight, quality control oversight, and supervision as required to construct the project described in the drawings and technical specifications.
