Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for Grounds Maintenance Services at the El Paso VA Healthcare System (EPVAHCS). The goal of this contract is to ensure that the facility grounds are maintained in a clean, safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing condition, supporting the VA's mission of providing a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and management necessary to perform comprehensive grounds maintenance services at EPVAHCS. The services include: - Lawn mowing - Trimming and edging - Lawn aeration and dethatching - Lawn seeding - Street and parking lot sweeping - Leaf and debris removal, including seasonal spring and fall cleanups - Weed control and removal - Chemical treatments, including fertilization and weed control - Tree removal - Tree and shrub care - Irrigation system maintenance and repair - Pest and disease control. The contractor must ensure all landscaped areas are maintained according to applicable regulations and standards. Period of Performance The contract will have a base period of one year from June 15, 2026 to June 14, 2027, with four additional one-year option periods extending through June 14, 2031. Place of Performance All work will be performed at the El Paso VA Healthcare System located at 5001 N. Piedras St., El Paso, TX 79936.
