10-2026-028 Cass High School Rooftop Unit Replacements

Background

The Bartow County School System is seeking proposals for the replacement of rooftop units at Cass High School. The goal of this contract is to ensure the efficient operation of the school's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems by replacing outdated units with new, owner-provided equipment. This project is part of the school system's commitment to maintaining a conducive learning environment for students.

Work Details

The selected contractor will be responsible for providing supervision, materials, and labor necessary for the removal and disposal of existing rooftop units at Cass High School located at 1000 Colonel Way NE, White GA 30184. The contractor will install new units purchased by the owner from the same manufacturer to facilitate compatibility. The work includes reconnecting these new units to the building automation system (BAS) and verifying their operation with the BAS provider before project completion. The proposal must include a lump sum price for removing and replacing all specified units as listed in Appendix A, along with a unitary pricing sheet for each unit. Additionally, pricing must be provided for replacing any curbs deemed unusable for the new equipment.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon issuance of a 'Notice to Proceed Work' within fifteen (15) days after approval by the Bartow County Board of Education. The completion timeline will be established based on project requirements and unit delivery dates shared with the successful bidder.

The work will be performed at Cass High School located at 1000 Colonel Way NE, White GA 30184.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of compliance with O.C.G.A. § 13-10-90 and §13-10-91 regarding security and immigration compliance. Contractors are required to submit a current certificate reflecting insurance and worker’s compensation coverage. They must also provide a list of subcontractors and ensure that all employees working on-site have undergone background checks as determined by the Owner.
