Public Safety Command Post Trailer

Background

The City of Perry is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the purchase of a new Public Safety Command Post Trailer. This initiative aims to enhance the city's public safety capabilities by providing a mobile command center that meets specific operational requirements.

Work Details

The contract involves the procurement of one (1) 8.5’ x 20’ enclosed command trailer with the following specifications:

Base Trailer Requirements

Tandem 3,500 lb brake axles, flat/straight front design, silver .080 composite semi-screwless exterior, minimum interior height of 7’6”, extended tongue with ATP generator box, rear drop-down stabilizer jacks, reinforced rear corner and roof structure for future antenna/mast/camera mounting.

Doors and Exterior Features

One (1) 36” x 72” rear door, one (1) 32” x 72” side door, solid rear wall configuration, two (2) slide-out exterior steps, exterior power plug and TV mount on curbside, power retractable awning with wind sensor protection, LED porch/entry lights, weather-resistant utility access for shore power.

Interior Construction

White metal walls and ceiling with commercial-grade insulation, an interior divider wall creating an 8’ x 8.5’ room, rubber coin flooring, full-width front desk with overhead cabinets and integrated task lighting.

Rear Operations Area

Includes a ten-foot desk on street side and a fold-down bench on curbside with storage options for command operations.

Electrical System

Complete 120V/12V system with a 50 AMP service and multiple receptacles.

HVAC System

An 18,000 BTU mini-split system with dual air handlers.

Generator System

A quiet-run generator suitable for full electrical load including HVAC.

Communications/Technology Readiness

Pre-configured for command use with TV mounts and cabling provisions.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award. Delivery of the trailer is required by May 28, 2026.

Place of Performance

The trailer will be delivered to the City of Perry at the Finance Department - Purchasing located at 1211 Washington Street, P O Box 2030, Perry, GA 31069.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply strictly with the specifications provided in the solicitation documents. The City reserves the right to accept any or all parts of bids received and may reject all bids at their discretion.
