Description - This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0583 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Microscope Slide Scanner. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 334516 The small business size standard is 1,000 This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. See Attachment 1 SF-1449 for applicable clauses, instructions, and evaluation criteria. In order to be considered for award OFFERORS SHALL SUBMIT ALL OF THE FOLLOWING : - Submit Firm Fixed Price quotation (quote on company letterhead) detailing the item(s), description, price, PLACE of MANUFACTURE, and inclusive of ALL costs including , but not limited to shipping, and valid for at least 60 days after receipt of quote. - Submit attached SF-1449 with blocks 17a, 30a, 30b, 30c, and individual Contract Line Items priced in full. - Submit Sam.gov Unique Entity ID (UEI) with quotation. - Submit Capability Statement and/or technical documentation/brochures showing technical capability to meet or exceed ALL salient characteristics in the Specifications.

REJECTION OF QUOTATION

Failure to demonstrate compliance or to submit ALL items requested in solicitation prior to due date will be cause to reject the quote without further discussions. DISCUSSIONS: The Government intends to award without discussions but reserves the right to conduct discussions should it be deemed in the Government's best interest. Background The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is conducting research on histological analysis of plant and animal tissues and the quantification of biomolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids in tissue sections. This solicitation, numbered 1232SA26Q0583, is for a microscope slide scanner that will aid in this research by automating the analysis of histological images. Work Details The contract requires the delivery of one Digital Slide Scanner, computer, and integrated analysis software capable of brightfield and fluorescent imaging. The specifications include: 1. Automated high-performance microscopy with a resolution of 5.5 micron x 5.5 micron pixel size in brightfield. 2. Fully automated scanning with interactive capabilities, including automated tissue identification and scanning in x, y, and z planes. 3. Ability to create 3D representations of specimens. 4. Capacity to load and scan 120 slides in one session with a scan speed of less than 450 seconds for standard slides at 20X magnification. 5. LED light source for various imaging capabilities (DAPI, GFP, Orange, CY5, Red, CY7). 8. Autoloader for slide movement. 9.
