Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration, is seeking to award a firm, fixed-price contract for tree maintenance services at the Baton Rouge National Cemetery. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and care of trees within the cemetery, which includes various tasks such as pruning and removal. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment to complete these services. Work Details The contractor shall perform tree maintenance services including: - Tree removal - Pruning - Trimming - Stump removal - Cavity repair - Root pruning - Removal and disposal of resulting waste and debris. Specific tasks include: - Routine pruning of two (2) large trees. - Deadwood pruning of four (4) large trees. A Certified Arborist must oversee the work to ensure compliance with specifications and maintain safety during operations. The arborist must have at least three years of experience in commercial tree maintenance operations. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from the award date until completion, which is expected to be no longer than sixty (60) calendar days.
