Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for emergency water main repairs at Miller Field, located in the Gateway National Recreation Area on Staten Island, NY. The goal of this contract is to restore proper water distribution and provide an adequate water supply to prevent ponding. This project is a total small business set aside. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, mobilization, transportation, supervision, incidentals, and waste disposal necessary to perform water main repairs. The specific tasks include: - repairing one water main pipe and two water supply pipes; - conducting necessary shutdowns; - performing repairs; - system testing; - site restoration. The work must comply with the Statement of Work provided in the solicitation. Additionally, the contractor must furnish any required performance and payment bonds. Period of Performance The contract performance shall commence within five (5) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued and must be completed within thirty (30) calendar days thereafter.
