Work Details The contractor will perform geotechnical drilling and subsurface investigation that includes: - Conducting five (5) shallow borings and two (2) deep borings using an 8-inch auger, with shallow borings reaching a maximum depth of 5 feet and deep borings up to 30 feet until bedrock is encountered. - Performing vacuum excavation potholing for utility locates at four locations, identifying the depth of two waterlines from the existing ground. - Utilizing a track-mounted drill rig with a two or three-man crew for the drilling operations. - Collecting soil samples in 5-gallon buckets, backfilling boreholes with gravel/aggregate or native material, and patching with cold mix asphalt where necessary. - Implementing traffic control measures during drilling operations on low-speed roads without requiring flaggers. - Coordinating utility locates through USA North 811 prior to commencing work. Period of Performance The anticipated schedule for the drilling is between June 1, 2026, through August 31, 2026, excluding holidays and weekends.
