The selected vendor will provide cleaning and calibration of 1000 pipettes during a one-week onsite visit. This service should include cleaning, calibration, and minor repair on most major brands and types of pipettes. Brands include, but are not limited to, Rainin, Eppendorf, Oxford, Labsystems, Finn, Titertek, Biohit, Wheaton, MLA, Matrix, Gilson, Denville, Nichiryo, and Tranferpette. Multi-channel and single-channel pipettes will need to be serviced.

Background The contract is issued by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) with the goal of ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and proper functioning of laboratory pipettes and balances through routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and minor repair services. This requirement supports good laboratory practices by minimizing measurement errors and extending equipment lifespan. Work Details The selected vendor will provide cleaning and calibration of 1000 pipettes during a one-week onsite visit. Services include: - Cleaning, calibration, and minor repair on major brands of pipettes such as Rainin, Eppendorf, Oxford, Labsystems, Finn, Titertek, Biohit, Wheaton, MLA, Matrix, Gilson, Denville, Nichiryo, and Tranferpette. - Multi-channel and single-channel pipettes will be serviced. Minimal service tasks include: - Disassembly of pipettes; - Interior and exterior cleaning; - Installation of new seals or relubrication per manufacturer’s recommendations; - Reassembly; - Recalibration at high, mid and low volumes; - Recording four handwritten readings at high volume; - Application of a service sticker with date due for next service; - Providing a six-month to one-year service warranty; - ISO17025 certification documentation. Minor repairs will also be performed as needed. Additional tasks include reconditioning services with cleaning and replacement of seals/o-rings along with recalibration and certification documentation. Period of Performance June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027 Place of Performance Onsite at both the Morgantown and Cincinnati NIOSH locations.
