Work Details The contractor must provide all parts, labor, equipment, materials, tools, methods of communication, and supervision necessary for trailer maintenance and repair. All materials and replacement parts must be new and unused; if OEM parts are used, they must meet or exceed OEM specifications. Remanufactured or aftermarket parts may be used at the County's discretion but require prior approval. A cost estimate must be prepared and submitted for each maintenance or repair service requested, including a ceiling cost that cannot be exceeded without authorization. The contractor is responsible for providing a minimum 90-day warranty on parts and labor after installation. Additionally, the contractor must ensure proper disposal of waste materials in compliance with applicable laws. Period of Performance The contract will last for twenty-four (24) months with an option to extend for an additional twelve (12) months. Place of Performance All work will be performed in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area, which includes Cass County, Clay County, Jackson County, Lafayette County, Platte County, Ray County in Missouri and Johnson County and Wyandotte County in Kansas. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with Chapter 6 of the Jackson County Code regarding Minority, Women and Veteran Business Utilization. A completed MBE/WBE/VBE Participation Affidavit must be submitted with the bid response. Bidders are required to have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in providing similar services and must submit references from other municipalities. A Certificate of Insurance meeting specified coverage limits is required within ten (10) business days after receiving notification of award.
