Background The City of Salem, a municipal corporation serving a community of approximately 177,600 residents and the capital of Oregon, is seeking proposals for window washing and related services at multiple city facilities. The goal is to establish a five-year contract for these services to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of city buildings. Work Details The contractor will provide interior and exterior window washing services at various city locations including but not limited to the Main Library, City Hall, Police Station, and Public Works Operations Building. Specific tasks include: 1. Coordination with City staff to minimize disruptions. 2. Provision of all necessary labor, tools, and equipment. 3. Protection of all surfaces and items during cleaning. 4. Compliance with OSHA safety requirements including fall protection. 5. Use of environmentally preferable cleaning products as per the City’s Sustainable Procurement policies. 6. Reporting any vandalism or tagging encountered on windows to the City’s Facilities Services Contract Administrator. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a five-year period starting from the date of award. Place of Performance Services will be conducted at various locations throughout the City of Salem, Oregon. Bidder Requirements Proposers must have at least three years of professional experience in providing window washing services. They must also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local civil rights laws and regulations if awarded an agreement by the City.
