Background The New Hampshire Department of Administrative Services, through its Division of Procurement and Support Services, is issuing a Request for Bid (RFB) for a Pharmaceutical Unit Dose Packaging System. This contract aims to establish a purchase order for supplying the State of New Hampshire with the necessary equipment to enhance its pharmaceutical packaging capabilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and improving operational efficiency. Work Details The contract involves providing an auto print tabletop packaging solution capable of packaging tablets and capsules into unit doses at a rate of 60 packages per minute. The system must support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and pharmaceutical safety standards. Specific requirements include: - Integrated tablet counter for accurate dispensing of medications, pills, and dietary supplements. - Direct thermal printer (300dpi). - Pak-EDGE software for inventory control, stock level maintenance, and medication management. - Barcode verifier and Tall Man Lettering features. - Touch screen control panel interface. - Standard packaging width of 2” x 1.5” with variable package length features. - Auto print capability allowing six different colors for coding expiration dates or designating controlled medication. - Two pill chutes and two feeding disks included in the system. Technical specifications include dimensions of 36” L x 15” W x 14” H, weight of 65 lbs., power requirements of 115 VAC, 60 Hz, and sealing temperature around 200 F (95C). Bidder Requirements Vendors must be duly registered as a vendor authorized to conduct business in the State of New Hampshire. They are required to have a completed Vendor Application Package on file with the NH Bureau of Purchase and Property prior to bid award. Additionally, vendors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding public works projects and must not have any disqualifying legal issues as outlined in RSA 21-I:11-c.
