Background The Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero is seeking bids for a contractor to perform a Corrosion Control Study of drinking water. This initiative is in accordance with Title 22, California Code of Regulations, Chapter 17.5, aimed at ensuring the safety and quality of drinking water within the facility's distribution system. The goal is to assess and report on corrosion control measures by February 1, 2027. Work Details The contractor will provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, certifications, permits, insurance, personnel, and any other items necessary to conduct a comprehensive Corrosion Control Study of drinking water outlets and water quality parameters within the distribution system. The study must be completed and submitted to DSH no later than February 1, 2027. The scope of work includes monitoring corrosion which may take several months to complete. Period of Performance The anticipated term of the agreement is from June 22, 2026, through February 1, 2027. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero located at 10333 El Camino Real, Atascadero, CA 93422. Bidder Requirements Bidders must certify they have a license to do business in California and are in good standing with the California Secretary of State. They must also provide proof that any engineers performing services have a minimum of three years’ experience in water treatment design and related fields. Additionally, bidders are required to submit three references from customers for whom they have provided similar services within the last two years.
