Background The City of Salem, Oregon, through its Public Works Department, is seeking a qualified electrical contractor to serve as the Electrician of Record for the Water Division. The purpose of this contract is to provide routine electrical maintenance services on an as-needed basis for the Water Division. The contractor must be licensed and bonded in the State of Oregon and have significant experience in SCADA telemetry and electrical installation and repair for water and wastewater facilities. Work Details The contractor will perform approximately 800 hours of electrical maintenance work during the fiscal year from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The actual number of hours may vary based on need. A Master Permit is required for all work conducted at Water & Wastewater facilities. The contractor must have at least five years of experience with SCADA telemetry systems and electrical installations related to water and wastewater facilities. Period of Performance The contract will be effective from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Place of Performance The work will take place in Marion County, Oregon. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be licensed by the Oregon Construction Contractors Board or licensed by the State Landscape Contractors Board. They are required to submit a bid security amounting to 10% of their bid. Bidders must also comply with ORS 279C.840 regarding public contracting rules and provide evidence of business registration with the State of Oregon.
