Background The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is conducting market research to identify qualified vendors capable of providing comprehensive Integrated Pest Management Program (IPMP) services at the Muirkirk Road Complex (MRC) in Laurel, Maryland. The MRC supports critical FDA research activities across multiple Centers, including the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), and the Office of Criminal Investigation (OCI). Pest management services are essential for maintaining sanitary conditions, protecting research integrity, and ensuring compliance with federal animal welfare and accreditation requirements. Work Details The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, and transportation necessary to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive IPMP for all designated MRC facilities. Services shall include: - Preventive, routine, and corrective pest management for interior and exterior areas; - Coverage of animal rooms, laboratories, offices, mechanical spaces, storage areas, and building perimeters; - Control of rodents, insects, birds, wildlife, stinging insects, and occasional invaders; - Routine service visits a minimum of two (2) days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays); - Emergency response within 24 hours of notification, available 24/7/365; - Submission of a site-specific IPMP plan within five (5) working days of contract award; - Monthly pest management reports submitted within ten (10) working days after month-end.
