Background The Kenton County Airport Board (KCAB) is seeking to procure two Universal Passenger Boarding Ramps to support safe and efficient boarding and deplaning operations at remote airport locations. These ramps must accommodate various aircraft types including regional jets, narrow-body, and wide-body aircraft. Work Details The contract involves the manufacture, delivery, and commissioning of two (2) universal, all-weather, solar-electric Passenger Boarding Ramps. The ramps must meet the following specifications: - **Aircraft Compatibility:** Must service aircraft with various front door sill heights including ERJ-145, CRJ-700/900, ERJ-170/175 (Regional Jets), Boeing 737, Airbus A320 (Narrow-Body), and Boeing 767, 787, 777, Airbus A330, A350, A380 (Wide-Body). - **Structural & Safety Features:** Full roof with side protection; high-traction non-slip walking surface; integrated LED lighting; extra-wide upper landing platform; ramp angle not exceeding 8 degrees for accessibility; separate access stairs for aircrew. - **Drive System & Maneuverability:** Fully electric drivetrain with solar-powered battery recharging; remote control steering; electric height adjustment; heavy-duty solid drive wheels; safety signaling with orange flashing beacon. - **Operational Requirements:** Delivery of fully assembled units or assembly on-site at CVG; on-site operational training for staff; compliance with FAA and OSHA standards. Bidders are required to offer a minimum two-year comprehensive warranty and a ten-year structural warranty. Compliance documentation with SAE ARP1247 and applicable FAA Advisory Circulars is also required.
