This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with format in FAR Subpart 13; simplified acquisition procedures apply. VA will conduct the procurement according to a combination of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation to procure and install new anti-microbial shelving units for the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (OBVAMC). The existing shelving units are at the end of their life cycle and do not meet operational needs. This contract is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Work Details The contractor will provide and install the following items: - Twenty (20) Antimicrobial aluminum shelving units (24" W x 48" D x 73" H) - Twenty-One (21) Stainless steel shelving units (48" W x 24" D x 63" H) - Additional components include: - 41 casters with brakes - 84 donut bumpers, NSF approved, 3" diameter - 80 fall arresting bars, wire, 48" W - 160 plastic label holder clips, horizontal - 160 clear label covers, flat All shelving must be factory assembled prior to shipping unless access prevents it. The contractor must ensure that all units are fully operational upon installation and provide a minimum warranty of ten years against rust/corrosion.
