Background The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (ALPLM) is seeking a vendor to perform asphalt resurfacing and sealing of the Library's east parking lot. This project aims to enhance the safety and accessibility of the parking area, which is shared with local businesses. The vendor will be required to work within specified hours to minimize disruption. Work Details The vendor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Preparation, repairs, and milling of existing pavement. 2. Removal of all debris from the site. 3. Installation of subbase and new asphalt surface; details on materials used must be provided. 4. Application of pavement markings including parking space stripes and ADA logo for handicapped spaces. 5. Estimation of recycled materials used during the process and/or waste diverted from the landfill. Period of Performance The project must be completed by July 30, 2026, with installation potentially occurring in sections from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, seven days a week. Place of Performance The work will take place at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library located at 112 N 6th St, Springfield, IL. Bidder Requirements Vendors must have at least 5 years of experience in parking lot milling, repaving, sealing, and striping.
