This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1240LS26Q0028 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for replacing HVAC systems for two tree coolers located at the Libby Ranger District on the Kootenai National Forest. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 811310 The small business size standard is $12.5 million. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. VENDORS ARE ADVISED TO UPDATE THEIR SAM REGISTRATION TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY ARE A SMALL BUSINESS UNDER THE NAICS CODE FOR THIS PROCUREMENT. This project is to replace the HVAC systems for two tree coolers located at the Libby Ranger District on the Kootenai National Forest. Both tree coolers have dated HVAC systems that cannot be easily repaired and do not meet modern energy efficiency standards. The goal of this project is to provide fully functioning tree cooler HVAC systems with associated evaporator fans and necessary materials for the refrigeration system. All work must comply with Federal and State codes, including proper disposal of refrigerants. Period of Performance Work is anticipated to begin on July 1, 2026, and proceed through early fall of the same year, weather permitting. The tree coolers will be in use until the end of June 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed at two locations: Tree Cooler 1 at the Libby Fire Cache located at 1263 Highway 37, Libby MT 59923, and Tree Cooler 2 at the Canoe Gulch site located at 12557 Highway 37, Libby MT 59923.
