Description - Springfield Refrigerated Unit Power, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, Springerville Ranger District This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 127EAX26Q0039 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to provide power to a 40' refrigerated container in Springerville, AZ. Work includes trenching and backfill of approximately 300' from a 3-phase power source to the refrigerated container's location, wiring, electrical hookup, and all electrical components to provide functioning power to the unit. Background The USDA Forest Service is issuing this solicitation for the purpose of providing power to a 40’ refrigerated container located in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, specifically within the Springerville Ranger District. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the refrigerated unit receives adequate electrical power for its operations, thereby supporting the agency's mission to manage and protect national forests and grasslands. Work Details The contractor shall furnish all supervision, materials, equipment, vehicles, tools, parts, labor, transportation, lodging, and miscellaneous items necessary to provide power to a 40’ refrigerated container. The work includes trenching and backfill of approximately 300 feet from a 3-phase power source to the refrigerated container’s location. This encompasses wiring, electrical hookup, and all electrical components required to ensure the unit functions properly. The existing conditions require that safety measures such as flagging and signage be implemented around the work area due to vehicular traffic. The refrigerated unit is a Thermo King Magnum Plus requiring 480 volts three-phase power at 30 amps. Period of Performance The contractor must begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and complete it within 90 calendar days.
