Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Bakersfield Field Office is seeking a contractor to provide restroom services in the Kern River Valley region. This includes cleaning and pumping services for vault-type toilets and portable toilets at various locations, including the Keysville Special Recreation Management Area and Southern Sierra Recreation Sites. The goal of this contract is to ensure proper sanitation and maintenance of restroom facilities in these recreational areas. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Vault Cleanings: Regular cleaning of vault toilets to maintain hygiene standards. 2. Emergency Vault Cleanings: Immediate response cleaning services for vault toilets as needed. 3. Pumping Per Vault: Pumping out waste from vault toilets to ensure they are functional and sanitary. 4. Portable Toilet Cleaning and Rental: Daily cleaning and rental services for portable toilets, ensuring they are maintained in a clean condition for users. The contractor must adhere to the specifications outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and provide a detailed work plan demonstrating their capability to meet these requirements. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2031, with options for additional years based on performance evaluations. Place of Performance Services will be performed at various locations within the Kern River Valley region, specifically including the Keysville Special Recreation Management Area and Southern Sierra Recreation Sites at Walker Pass, Chimney Creek, and Long Valley Campground.
