Background The project is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside for a Design-Bid-Build Construction contract for a Climate Controlled Storage Facility at the Red River Army Depot in Texas. The goal of the contract is to construct a facility that meets specific operational requirements for Rubber Operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Work Details The project involves constructing a 7,038 square foot Climate Controlled Storage Facility designed as an Insulated Pre-Engineered Metal Building. Key features include: - Fully sprinklered system - Insulated standing seam metal roof panels - Roof fall protection per UFC 3-110-03 - Exposed concrete floors - Exposed structure ceilings. The facility will have hollow metal doors and metal roll-up doors, including one standard 12ft x 12ft roll-up door positioned centrally to accommodate an 8 ft mast height forklift. Additional construction tasks include creating a Controlled Humidity Warehouse Depot with a front concrete sidewalk, installing new fencing, ensuring fire lane circulation for Fire Department access, performing minor grading to facilitate drainage away from the building, and meeting ABA standards for all access areas.
