Background The proposed project is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside for a Design-Bid-Build Construction contract for a Climate Controlled Storage Facility at the Red River Army Depot in Texas. The mission of the agency is to provide efficient and effective storage solutions for military operations. The goal of this contract is to construct a facility that meets specific operational requirements while adhering to safety and performance standards. Work Details The project involves the construction of a 7,038 square foot Climate Controlled Storage Facility specifically designed for Rubber Operations. Key construction tasks include: 1) Building an Insulated Pre-Engineered Metal Building that is fully sprinklered with insulated standing seam metal roof panels; 2) Installing roof fall protection for the entire roof area as per UFC 3-110-03; 3) Constructing interior spaces with exposed concrete floors and ceilings exposed to structure; 4) Installing hollow metal doors and metal roll-up doors, including one standard 12ft x 12ft roll-up door positioned centrally to accommodate an 8 ft mast height forklift; 5) Developing a Controlled Humidity Warehouse Depot with a front concrete sidewalk; 6) Erecting new fencing around the facility; 7) Ensuring fire lane circulation for Fire Department access; 8) Conducting minor grading to ensure drainage away from the building; and 9) Meeting ABA standards for all access areas. A water point of connection will be established on-site for the new water service line. Period of Performance The anticipated project completion is set for 540 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Place of Performance Red River Army Depot, Texas.
