Background Springfield School District No. 19 is seeking qualified contractors to provide structural roof and large-span truss repair services across multiple school sites. This project is classified as a prevailing wage public improvement project, aimed at ensuring the safety and integrity of school facilities through necessary structural repairs. Work Details The scope of work includes structural repairs of wood trusses and wood glulam beams at the following schools: Centennial Elementary, Guy Lee Elementary, Page Elementary, Two Rivers Dos Rios Elementary, Walterville Elementary, Mohawk Elementary, Briggs Middle, Thurston Middle, Gateways High (Brattain Campus), and Thurston High. The selected contractor(s) will perform repairs identified through recent evaluations of the roof systems and large-span trusses. The Engineer’s estimate for construction costs is approximately $5,484,327, with a detailed breakdown provided in Attachment A of the Project Manual. Period of Performance The contract is expected to commence after July 1, 2026, upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and will have an initial term of one year. The District reserves the right to extend the contract term as necessary to complete all work. Place of Performance The work will be performed at various sites within Springfield School District No. 19 in Oregon. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be licensed with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) prior to bidding on public improvements contracts. All subcontractors must also be registered with the CCB at the time they propose to engage in subcontract work. Bids must include a statement confirming compliance with prevailing wage laws (ORS 279C.838, 279C.840 or 40 U.S.C. 3141 to 3148). Additionally, bidders are required to have a drug testing program in place for their employees.
