REPLACE MELROSE BACKUP GENERATOR

FY26 Replace Generator in Melrose Mansion at the Natchez National Historical Park. The National Park Service, Contracting Operations East, hereby issues a combined synopsis/solicitation for the Natchez National Historical Park. It is the intent of this service contract(s) to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision to replace existing standby generator with a new minimum 100 kW standby, 3-phase, 120/208V, 60 Hz, natural gas standby generator. Please see the Statement of Work for more details. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238290. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition shall result in award of a firm fixed price contract. **A highly suggested site visit is scheduled for May 1, 2026 at 10:00 CT.** The selection will be made by evaluating proposals based on cost, technical approach, and relevant experience. Background The National Park Service, Contracting Operations East, is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation for the replacement of the existing standby generator at the Melrose Mansion, located in the Natchez National Historical Park. The goal of this contract is to ensure reliable backup power for critical building systems, preserving the historic interiors and museum collections from damage due to power outages. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to replace the existing standby generator with a new minimum 100 kW standby, 3-phase, 120/208V, 60 Hz natural gas standby generator. The work includes: - Disconnecting and removing the existing generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS). - Furnishing and installing a new minimum 100 kW standby-rated generator. - Installing a new minimum 400-amp ATS in a NEMA 3R outdoor enclosure. - Providing all necessary electrical connections, grounding, and code-required modifications. - Commissioning the system with full load testing and providing end-user training to park staff. - Submitting warranties, operation manuals, as-builts, and closeout documentation. The enclosure must be powder-coated aluminum rated for wind speeds up to 180 MPH and finished in dark forest green. Period of Performance The project will be completed under a firm-fixed-price contract with a period of performance of 150 days.
