Background

The USDA Forest Service is issuing this contract to conduct site preparation for planting ash trees that have survived the emerald ash borer. The goal is to develop pest-resistant tree seeds for reforestation and restoration of this economically and ecologically important tree species. Seeds will be distributed to both private and public nurseries, including Forest Service nurseries. Work Details: The Contractor shall provide all necessary management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, transportation, and equipment for Ground Clearing and Root Raking. Specific tasks include: 1) Ground Clearing of 4.1 acres located North of Hanover Road; 2) Root Removal at Koch's Archive and Panhandle Road involving Root Raking/Grubbing over 5.4 acres. The work is aimed at clearing trees, roots, and stumps to prepare the site for planting ash trees. Period of Performance: The estimated period of performance is from October 1, 2025, through January 29, 2026. Services are to be completed within 120 days of the award. Place of Performance: The contract will be performed at USDA Forest Service Northern Research Station located at 359 Main Rd., Delaware, OH 43015.
