Background This requirement is for a construction contract to restore and modernize hangar door systems at Buildings 1200, 1511, and 1614 at Shaw Air Force Base. The contractor will be responsible for planning, designing, constructing, and managing all activities necessary to achieve these objectives in accordance with the attached Statement of Objectives (SOO). Work Details The work includes the following tasks: 1. **Building 1200 Hangar Doors**: Restore and modernize the electrical power and control systems for all hangar door leaves to ensure safe and independent operation. 2. **Building 1511 Hangar Doors**: Restore mechanical functionality by repairing or replacing failed mechanical components to ensure reliable door movement and safe securing during operations. 3. **Building 1614 Hangar Doors**: Modernize electrical power distribution and control systems to provide safe, reliable, and maintainable electrical service for independent operation of each hangar door leaf. The contractor must also comply with all applicable codes and standards including NEC, UFC, NFPA, OSHA, IBC, and Shaw AFB Design Standards. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is 295 calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Shaw Air Force Base located in South Carolina.
