Background Merrimack County, New Hampshire, is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Fire Protection (MEP/FP) engineering services for the construction of a new two-story storage facility. Work Details The selected engineering firm will be responsible for providing MEP/FP engineering services including: 1. General Responsibilities: Serve as a consultant working with the architectural design team on systems requiring stamped designs for mechanical, electrical, and fire protection services. 2. Existing Conditions Assessment: Conduct a site visit to analyze existing mechanical and electrical systems in adjacent buildings and verify existing electrical equipment and service capacity. 3. Coordination with Other Design Professionals: Collaborate with structural engineers and architects as necessary for project completion. 4. Construction Phase Support: Provide technical review of contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, assist with installation issues, and verify that installed systems conform to design intent. 5. Invoicing: Proposals must include all costs as One-time Non-recurring Cost (NRC) and comply with tax requirements for payment.
