Background The General Services Administration (GSA), Region 8, is undertaking a combined project that includes the Billings USMS Cellblock Refresh, Bozeman FSA Office Build-Out, and Bozeman FWS Freezer HVAC. The aim of this contract is to refresh and repaint existing facilities, construct new office spaces, and improve HVAC systems to ensure compliance with operational standards. Work Details 1. Billings USMS - Cellblock Refresh: The contractor will refresh and repaint stainless steel surfaces in the cellblock area. This includes removing scratches from stainless steel benches and walls, with specific locations verified during a contractor/USMS/GSA walk-through. Additionally, doors and doorframes will be repainted as specified. 2. Bozeman FSA - Office Build-Out: Tasks include building a new wall with metal studs to enclose an alcove area for a private office, installing a matching door and frame, extending the wall to the deck above, adding baseboards, relocating fire sprinklers as required by code, moving HVAC penetrations if necessary, painting the entire room with low VOC paint to match existing colors, and repairing or replacing carpet as needed. 3. Bozeman FWS - Freezer HVAC: The contractor will install a heat removal system for ultra-low temperature freezers to maintain room temperatures between 64.4°F to 89.6°F. Options include either a new exhaust system with fresh air supply duct or a ductless split-system AC unit with fresh air supply. The contractor must investigate and propose solutions along with pricing. Period of Performance The contractor must begin work within 5 calendar days of receiving the notice to proceed and complete all tasks within 60 calendar days thereafter. Place of Performance The projects will take place at two locations in Montana: Billings (2601 2nd Ave N) and Bozeman (10 E Babcock St).
