Background The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB No: DOT2612) for a supply contract concerning coarse aggregate materials for the North, Canal, and Central districts. The goal of this contract is to procure necessary materials to support the state's infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with established specifications and standards. Work Details The contractor will supply various types of coarse aggregate materials as specified in the ITB. This includes: - GABC (Graded Aggregate Base Course): 550 tons for North District, 500 tons for Canal District, and 450 tons for Central District. - Rip Rap (various sizes): - R-4: 500 tons North, 500 tons Canal, 450 tons Central - R-5: 500 tons North, 500 tons Canal, 600 tons Central - R-6: 300 tons North, 300 tons Canal, 750 tons Central - R-7: 300 tons North, 300 tons Canal, 450 tons Central - AASHTO #1: 150 tons North and 300 tons Central. - Delaware #57: 200 tons North, 300 tons Canal, and 450 tons Central. - Rice Stone: 500 tons North, 150 tons Canal, and 450 tons Central. - Crushed Concrete: 150 tons Canal and 300 tons Central. All materials must conform to the Delaware Department of Transportation's specifications outlined in Section 1004 of the Road and Bridge Construction standards. Delivery must occur within ten working days after notification. Period of Performance The contract will be valid for an initial term of one year from the date of execution. It may be renewed for four additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement between the vendor and DelDOT. Place of Performance Materials will be delivered to various locations including: - North District Yard: 39 East Regal Blvd., Newark, DE - Canal District Yards including Middletown Yard and Bear-Christiana Road Yard - Central District Yards including Harrington Yard and Magnolia Yard. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be registered with DelDOT to submit a bid and comply with all local laws and regulations. Successful vendors must provide proof of State of Delaware Business Licensure prior to award. Mandatory insurance requirements include: 1. Worker’s Compensation Insurance 2. Commercial General Liability Insurance ($1 million per occurrence) 3. Product Liability Insurance ($1 million per occurrence) 4. Automotive Liability Insurance with specified coverage limits.
