Background

The National Park Service (NPS), Contracting Operations Central, NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) intends to issue a solicitation for the annual inspection, testing, and hydrostatic services of fire extinguishers located at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. This acquisition is aimed at ensuring compliance with NFPA 10 standards for fire safety within the park's infrastructure. Work Details: The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: - Conduct annual inspections of approximately 202 ABC fire extinguishers of various sizes (ranging from 2.5 pounds to 20 pounds) located throughout Theodore Roosevelt National Park. - Perform hydrostatic testing as required by NFPA 10 standards. - Ensure that inspections are conducted by certified technicians. - Maintain records of inspections and tests performed on each fire extinguisher. - Provide rapid response capabilities to incipient fires in or around park vehicles and infrastructure.
