THRO LIFT STATION Construction Project

Background

The National Park Service Contracting Operations (ConOps) Central, Nekota Major Acquisition Buying Office, is issuing an Invitation for Bid for a lift station construction project at Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit. The goal of the contract is to improve the sanitary sewer system at the campground within the park. Work Details: The project includes partial removal and replacement of the sanitary sewer system at the south unit campground. Key tasks include: removing the power feed to the existing lift station; installing new gravity sewer connections; constructing a new dual pump sewage lift station and valve vault with automatic controls and flow measurement; and installing a new force main connecting to a new drain field. Additionally, demolition of the existing sewer system components such as the lift station, valve vault, and electrical panel at Cottonwood Campground will be required. The new dual pump lift station will feature submersible pumps, stainless steel guiderails, hangers, chains, floats, automatic controls, flow measurement devices, power surge protection, and motor saver protection. A new wet well will be constructed to accommodate current and future needs with safety features including a lockable cover and fall safety grates. The valve vault will include check valves, gate valves, and force main drain valves. Boring or trenching for a new force main extending from the lift station valve vault to the drain field is also part of the scope. A community drain field will be established with provisions for future expansion. Period of Performance: Work shall be completed within 180 calendar days of the start date provided on the Notice to Proceed. Place of Performance: The construction projects will be performed at Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit.
