Background The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) has a requirement for brand-specific door hardware, including door locks, lock cores, doorknobs, striker plates, and key blanks from the manufacturer Stanley Best. This contract aims to supply multiple DMVA facilities across the State of Michigan with these essential items. The anticipated duration of the contract is three years, with the possibility of two one-year extensions. Work Details The contractor must provide Stanley Best Door Hardware as specified in Attachment A, Door Hardware Spreadsheet. Bids on alternate brands or manufacturers will not be considered. The specific items include various models of deadbolts, cylindrical knobs, closers, exit devices, strike plates, mortise cylinders, and padlocks from Stanley Best. The contractor is also required to describe warranties included in the bid and provide detailed information on warranty reporting processes and repair handling. Additionally, the contractor must comply with quality assurance programs and recall requirements as outlined in the RFP. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a base period of three years with an option for two additional one-year extensions. Place of Performance The contract activities will be performed at various DMVA facilities across the State of Michigan. Bidder Requirements Bidders must confirm they are an approved vendor for Stanley Best products. They must adhere to the Build America Buy America Act (BABA) for materials provided under this contract. No subcontracting is allowed without prior written approval from the State.
