Background The State of Nevada, Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Social Services (DSS) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for daily mail courier services in Las Vegas, Nevada for DSS' State Collection and Disbursement Unit (SCaDU). The goal of this contract is to ensure timely pickup and delivery of mail containing child support checks and other payment instruments to support the operations of the SCaDU. Work Details The contractor will provide the following services: 1) Daily pickup of mail containing child support checks and other payment instruments at the United States Post Office located at Sunset Station, 1001 E Sunset Box 98950, Las Vegas, Nevada by 7:30 am. Estimated daily pickups will range from 50 to 2000 envelopes. 2) Delivery of the collected mail to the SCaDU office at 1900 East Flamingo Road, Suite #136, Las Vegas, NV 89119-5168 by 9:00 am. 3) Courier services will be provided on all business days when the SCaDU office or the United States Post Office is open, excluding State or Federal holidays. 4) In case of delays or unavailability of mail, the contractor must contact the SCaDU office immediately at (702) 486-8539. Delivery hours may be adjusted with mutual consent. The contractor will submit invoices for reimbursement no later than the 10th calendar day of the month following service provision. Period of Performance The contract will be effective for a period of four (4) years beginning upon approval by the Board of Examiners. Place of Performance Services will be performed in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bidder Requirements All vendors must be appropriately licensed by the State of Nevada Secretary of State’s Office pursuant to NRS 76 prior to submitting a proposal. Additionally, current or former State employees cannot perform services related to this contract.
