Background The Arnold Air Force Base (AFB) is seeking to contract with a multi-disciplined Architect-Engineer (A-E) firm to provide A-E services. This initiative is part of the agency's mission to support the Arnold Engineering and Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold AFB, TN. The contract will utilize competitive selection procedures to establish a highly qualified firm for various engineering services. Work Details The required A-E services include, but are not limited to: engineering studies, investigations, tests, evaluations, consultations, drawings, renovations/repair projects (including building renovations and additions), new construction, preparation of project definition and programming documents, charrettes, preparation of technical portions of design-build solicitations, value engineering studies, environmental permit applications, geotechnical reports and reviews, construction phase support, and facility condition assessments. Specific areas of expertise required include civil engineering (structural, traffic, roadway, bridge, water resources engineers), electrical engineering (low/mid and high voltage), mechanical engineering (HVAC), architecture, fire protection engineering, multi-discipline design and administration (cost analysis and estimating), project management, feasibility studies and business case analysis, safety analysis/inspections/repair plans production, comprehensive interior design, quality assurance work plans, airfield pavement engineering and design, installation development plans/master plans/traffic studies. Period of Performance The anticipated ordering period for the contract is a base year plus seven option years from the date of award. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee.
