Towable Air Start Unit

Background

The City of Bangor is seeking bids to furnish and deliver one (1) Towable Air Start Unit to the Airport’s GSE Facility located at 206 Maine Ave, Bangor, Maine. The goal of this contract is to acquire a modern air start unit that meets specific operational requirements for the airport's ground support equipment.

Work Details

The contractor will provide one (1) Towable Air Start Unit that must meet the following minimum specifications: - Diesel engine (Cummins engine preferred) compliant with the latest EPA emissions standards up to Tier 4 final. - Low lube oil pressure shut down. - Oil-free screw compressor. - Minimum airflow of 270 lbs/minute. - Trailer mount with solid tires. - Minimum fuel tank capacity of 100 gallons. - 24V battery and mechanical brake lever. - Tow coupling. - Compatibility with aircraft fleets including Airbus, Boeing, CRJ, Embraer, Falcon, Gulfstream, and unspecialized military aircraft. - Extended warranty. The City will also consider alternate bids for previous year’s models if they meet or exceed these specifications.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period is expected to align with the delivery timeline, with proposals due by 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Airport’s GSE Facility located at 206 Maine Ave, Bangor, Maine.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all specifications outlined in the Bid Form and provide necessary documentation. Proposals must be submitted electronically or via physical delivery methods as specified. All federal and state taxes must be excluded from the proposal price. Bidders are required to complete the Bid Form which includes product information and compliance with specifications.
